The Open World Program is an initiative of the U.S. Legislative Branch that has enabled more than 17,000 current and future leaders from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan to meaningfully engage and interact with Members of Congress, Congressional staff, and thousands of other Americans.
All delegates stay with Chicago-area homestay hosts. Learn more about becoming a Homestay Host.
“As a result of the meeting with the professionals from Turkmenistan, my company has benefitted… We actually have worked with [one of the visitor’s companies] in the past, but now we have a closer relationship partly due to our meeting. Looks as if we may now expand our business into Turkmenistan!” — Open World Meeting Host
